Reach
I took this at a nature reserve awhile ago. I love capturing sunlight in photos, this time peeking out over a boulder. It's not a great shot by technical means, but when the prints came out it looked like it was taken from underwater. It gives me the feeling of struggling for air, reaching upward to break the surface. Hence the name, "Reach."
Somehow the shot is also peaceful though, eerily serene. The way running out of oxygen is terrifying but at the same time, you can't help marveling at the distorted beauty of being submerged and looking up.
