Stuck

What is this?

The sky is black.

My hearing is black.

My feeling is black.

Black rain,

I feel it’s lumpy form,

Dragging down on my wet skin,

Trickling into my eyes,

And bursting out,

Sticking to my eyelids.

I feel black beating.

I feel black cold.

A concoction of black shades,

Like an elevator,

Like an airplane.

Humid breath pushing under my nose.

Like a snake boggling inside.

But without anything to see,

I see something powerful.

Something more inducing.

My legs freezing,

My arms freezing,

My brain freezing,

All of my muscles -

Freezing.

And my legs like rotten dried meat.

And clothing, clotting,

Sticking to my skin,

Moisture mixing

With my body heat.

But,

I have to keep going!

She’s right in front!

Pass her,

Pass her!

Maybe that’s what this feels like -

Stuck,

But like that time,

I have to keep going.

This dread, this darkness.

You’ve run hundreds of miles!

If you were really that weak,

you would have stood down a long time ago

A long long time ago.

Stand up.

Around me, I looked and I see- all round me with what I thought before to be black, flake off, falling to a peaceful ground in a comfy blanket of darkness, wrapping itself around me, and protected by a strong titanium armor.

Above me

Big open space

And a big welcoming door
