You Can't Spell Forever Without Over In It
When you thought you met the one
When you thought it would last forever
Things happen and hearts break some release relief, sadness, or anger
Some release confusion yet to be measured
Forever never lasts
Hearts are like glass
Some are shattered or chipped
Pieces taken along for the trip by the guy that “couldn’t help it”
Forever can’t be spelled without over in it
It hurts to breathe when the edges are so rigid
People come to file it down but they don’t forget to take a piece
Leaving me half empty with only a little bit less to keep

I wrote this piece based on a photo that was created by a artist struggling with depression. Although the piece isn't strongly about depression it's based on the depression of love and that things don't always last forever.
