A Little Bit Colder
If I had never felt it
I would never feel
Like I don’t have it
I felt warmth
Your hug, your body
Was warm
Now I feel cold
Icy and miserable
My teeth chatter
When I’m in the
Arms of anyone else
My world is frozen-over
Just a hug from you
And I realize I had forgotten
Again how good it feels
I never want to let go
But I know I have to
And so I return to my frozen
Existence
A little bit colder than before
