Society's Colonoscopy
To ploy, to prod,
Into a society so odd,
With its freedoms,
Of gleaming liberties,
Lifting morals,
Of hopeful communities.
But what will they do?
When the colonoscopy,
Will decree,
That we’re not so free,
When the painful
Probe,
Our hope,
That the truth be told,
That the truth be as painful as the probe.
And if the news wouldn’t be,
Our amendments, the rights,
Down the toilet,
Flushed with glee.
Then I wouldn’t wanna be a part,
Of this colon-,
Subtract, the -oscopy
