Fast as a Butterfly
Tomorrow will be yesterday,
in a blink of the eye
And the days will pass away,
as fast as tears slide when we cry
I can lose and I can win
There is no such thing in between
I can fall and I can rise
But by falling I get wise
There are mountains and there are hills
While I pass them I get thrills
I’m scared I’ll fall short of my goal,
that I didn’t run and made it home
And people can say that I can break,
just like a glass when it falls out of my hand
But I still will get back
Because this time I am tougher
Because this time I am smarter
All the learnings walk with me hand-in-hand,
in the future that is planned
But it depends,
if I fall and stay or if I fall and stand
All the experience flies fast,
just like a butterfly,
that I hold in my hands
But you know what is sad?
Once I let if go,
I can never catch it again.
