What if the advancing never stopped

Where would we be today

With a Middle Age silent movie

Would the Dark Ages have been less gloomy

If they had working pills and knowledge

Sometimes I sit and wonder how

A Victorian computer would look

Skip to the 40’s using microwaves to cook

How long would it take to get to today

Maybe the films about the future were right

About moving sidewalks and flying cars

About easy space travel and self-replicating juice bars

Maybe that is where we would be today

If we only looked ahead and not the other way
