"Some things will never change"---Tupac

Just like those stormy days
When the rain is falling
Beating against the window sill
Falling hard on the disarrayed pavement
Misting sideways along the street
Softly singing a child to sleep
I'll be there

When the lightning strikes
Scaring the wits out of Earth walkers
Producing a fluorescent light in the sky
Preparing for a thunderous sound
A few seconds later
I'll be there

Just like those sunny days
When the sun is shining
Beaming down on the necks of sweaty humans
Giving light to the day
Producing life for the plants
Making rainbows after a storm
I'll be there

When the wind is blowing
Creating a breeze here and there
Cooling the humans as the sun shines
Disorganizing events
Paper flying every which way and that
I'll be there

Just like those summer ending evenings
When the sun is setting
In the far out horizon
Children finishing up activities
Getting ready for a good night's sleep
To make church in the morning
I'll be there

Just like those nights, when you need me
Because of the loneliness you feel
Just like those desired feelings
Just like a shoulder you can cry on
Just like a pillow you can lie on
Just like a lover you can count on
I'll be there

You are a beautiful writer. This poem has amazing imagery. Thank you so much for the compliments on my work. You are a great writer yourself, and hold much talent. I'd love to read more of your work! Keep writing

This poem really paints a picture in my mind about what is being described. Very discriptive! Great work!
