Senior Year Playoffs

The crowd begins to roar

I feel my heart race, I am awake. 

Suddenly, warm ups start 

When I’m on the court I almost forget

That I can't participate today. 

Its playoffs… I’m injured  

Summer Job

The summer sun beat down, while I sat guard at the shoreline. 

The hours were long and the rules we were to inforce were tedious  

With basketball starting soon this lifeguard job was not for me anymore.  

Cousins wedding 

The trip was long, adventurous 

It was worth seeing him, tie the knot. 

We were happy for them 

They had been dating for six years now. 

Who could have know what would happen then? 

Over in five months.
