Nightmare
A train’s headlights can be seen from the windows. The sound comes closer as the walls start to
shake, almost if also scared of the impending doom, though my heart screams louder than
the crashing rain on the windows that chatter. My hands seem to grip
a soft pillow harder than I should, my eyes seem to close
tighter than the windows which seem to be trying to
grip onto the seal for life. The horn grows
louder as if wanting to be a warning
to me. Louder, LOUDER. Until I
wake up in a sweat
from my worst
Nightmare
