“Covid”
On March 13th, a gloomy day,
Students left school and were sent away
Quiet and empty was the town,
Because the virus Covid-19 had shut everything down
People were stuck in their house,
With nothing to do but slouch
Children would play on their lawns,
On sidewalks chalk pictures were drawn
Pandemic happening around the country,
Everything was happening so abruptly
Then it seemed like school would re-open soon,
But it was now taught through an app called zoom
The death rates were extremely high,
Families didn’t have the chance to say goodbye
So we wore our mask on our face,
In hopes to prevent another outbreak
Now in 2021, our lives are getting back on track
But we still will never be able to get back
All the days after March thirteenth
That were spent in quarantine
