The Misunderstood Blessing
The Misunderstood Blessing
It is a blessing, but is sometimes considered a curse.
Maybe because of the things it can make you do.
Maybe because of the things it can make you say.
I don’t know why people treat it the way they do.
Some say it is and was created by God.
Others say it just came to be.
Some end their friendship with it and claim to be victims.
Others stay connected to it for eternity.
I have slightly experienced its touched.
I have been grazed by its embrace.
Its exhale has calmed my spirits.
Its words have put a smile on my face.
Some say it has punched them in the face.
Others claimed to have been choked by its hands.
They say it blew down their homes,
and that its cruelty made it so that they could never smile again.
It is a blessing, but is sometimes considered a curse.
Maybe because of the things it can make you do.
Maybe because of the things it can make you say.
I don’t know why people treat it the way they do.
