One Verse Universe
Here I find
that time does fly,
and the world is more
than meets the eye.
But who am I
but a mirror of you?
an echo of what
you already knew?
We are cogs
and we are gears
of a single "verse",
the clock of years.
And ever-turning
oiled machine
that tolls the hours
of wake and dream.
"Ever Turning
Constantly"
will surely stop
eventually.
The ravening
eternitiy,
endless not
and never free
will come upon
the hour twelve
and all will hear
the final bell.
The repetition
of the time
in a single clock
called "Verse".

"Poetry and art are when you take decades of thought and condense it into a nifty little portable carrying case that people can see and go 'Oooh, Ahh'... and then forget about it. But what does it matter, so long as YOU remember it?" ~ Bela
