The Truth About Trust
Trust is like paper,
all dandy and fine,
oh, until someone crosses the uncrossable line,
when someone breaks it, crumples it up for good,
then apologizes and says that forgiveness is something we really should,
they try to flatten the paper out and say that it’s fine,
they tell you to ignore all the deep creases and lines,
but down inside you know something true, and it’s that once the paper of trust is crumpled,
it will never be like anew.

This is a little poem I wrote, it was inspired by a school worksheet on metaphors a while back and one of them was related to paper/crumpled paper, I don't remember the specifics of the worksheet but it inspired this poem!
Enjoy :)
