Hunger
There’s an emptiness deep inside
that I crave until it finally dies.
So I hold the power of a god over it,
I watch it suffer in its endless pit.
It howls like a caged animal in me,
so I watch it thrash and scream
While I hold the key to its prison
and starve the body it lives within
just to watch it beg and crave and cry,
until its god decides to let it die.
