The Turn Of Summer
The glistering grass shines,
water embodies my backyard.
Swimming from sunrise to sunset,
from June to July the water roars.
In September, the water tends to whisper.
I jump out of the cold crisp water,
I look over my shoulder as a leaf begins to fall.
I am optimistic.
The sparkling water turns dull and cold,
the summer shrivels like the leaves on the trees.
Autumns entrance is abrupt,
warm tones twist there ways into the tall trees.
The early morning wind whimpers,
as the bell for school begins to ring.
The golden tan fades slow but surely,
as another school year begins.
