The Pine Tree
Out in back, so near to the porch
Stands a little tree, as if standing watch.
Tall and proud, small arms so fair;
Lovely and without a care.
Stand tall, little pine,
Whom words cannot define;
You have such wisdom in your shade.
Point high, little pine;
Point so we can find
The One by whom you were made.
Up on a hill, so near the sky,
Stands a towering tree, its head held high.
Tall and proud, great arms stretched out;
Mighty and without a doubt.
Stand strong, mighty pine,
Whom words cannot define
You have such strength beneath your shade.
Point straight, might pine,
Point so we can find
The One by whom you were made.
