Sunshine
Dirt between my toes
Budding rose
Campfires
Jumping fish
Chocolate ice cream in a dish
Ever-present chlorine smell
On thoughts of Fall no mind can dwell
Summer's luster fades fast
Summer fun can never last

I LOVE THIS!!! again your work amazes me :) this is just how i think of summer. your writing is so true and i love this piece. lol i may print it off and keep it in my locker when i wish it was still summer ;) your writing hasn't let me down yet so keep writing!

i love how all your poems are short and to the point. i'm not much of a summer person myself, but this is probably my favorite poem of yours. keep up the good work.
