Little Neon Ball
Breathe in slowly.
Inhale. Exhale.
Watch as the neon ball jets toward you.
Since you are left handed the ball is coming toward your backhand.
Hit.
It is now forty- thirty. You have taken control.
But at any moment the game could be back to where it was a point ago.
Thirty- all.
On your toes, you’ve got to be quick.
Because when the little neon ball flies toward you, you must be prepared.
You have worked hard for this and can not back down now.
They serve.
It feels like a life time ago but finally the ball reaches you.
You hit, they hit. Back and forth the ball goes but you must not back down.
Finally you hit that little neon ball so hard it is too much for your tired opponent.
Game.
Set.
Match.
