To My Muses
My feet never danced,
Yet still you took my hand
And so I entranced,
Followed your demand.
My throat never did sing,
Yet your calm melody
Had taught me that kind ring,
I sing to my lady.
My hands never did draw,
Or write, or strum clean chords,
Yet you drew what I saw,
And you played an encore.
My heart never did beat,
Until you showed me how
To make, to live, to be
And so, to you, I bow.
