Death Row
Exhaustion proves stronger than my will
Desire will not be rewarded with slumber,
Laying upon my deathbed like roadkill.
Nightly, staring at the bottle filled pill,
I remember the dreams of a youngster
Exhaustion proves stronger than my will
Carving into my skin the sigil
Blood rushing out, I realize my blunder,
Laying upon my deathbed like roadkill.
My last breath leaves my lips with a chill
Watching my mother fade into somber
Exhaustion proves stronger than my will
Pressing my chest, my life they try to refill
Tears fill their eyes as they reach for the cutter
Laying upon my deathbed like roadkill
Sorrow tears turn to an angry shrill
Will they learn of their guilty murder?
Exhaustion proves stronger than my will
Laying upon my deathbed like roadkill
