It’s time.
To step up and take charge.
Look to us, we’ll do our best;
And pray every night it will be enough.

Can we do it, you ask.
Do we have a choice?
For the sake of the world,
For all of us,
And those yet to come,
It’s our time now.

We’re ready.
For the responsibility.
The suffering, and the helplessness.
Make the right choice.
It will be difficult.
We know, we are prepared.
To answer the call as it will come.
To each of us in turn.
We know what to do.
We know what we must do.
For the sake of the world.

Written 4/23/09 - Couldn’t fall asleep one night, so I got up and wrote this and “What a World,” which was originally the first part of this one, but I like them separate better.
