An Ode to Love
Dear Love,
I hate you.
You only exist for all the fictional characters that are in movies or books,
But never for me.
Why is that?
Why is it that only book characters get to fall in love but not me?
I mean, I do fall in love,
But why is it that he never loves me back?
Explain that, Love.
Explain the feelings that my heart cannot.
Explain.
Explain why I can’t find my one and only,
When Ariel found hers at sea,
When Repunzel found hers in the tower,
Or when Jasmine found her’s on a magic floating carpet.
I only have one remaining favor I need from you, Love.
If not me,
If I can’t find my own Prince Charming,
Then do me a favor,
And grant a lucky person’s wish instead.
