Just because i'm Hispanic,

Doesn't mean I work at a construction site,

Doesn’t mean I automatically know spanish,

Doesn’t mean I wear a sombrero. 

Just because im Latino,

Doesn't mean I have a large extended family,

Doesn’t mean my whole family drinks and parties daily,

Doesn’t make us “border hoppers”,

And taco lovers.

Just because I’m Hispanic, 

Doesn't mean i play baseball,

Doesn't mean i drink horchata,

Doesn’t mean I'm from one country.

Just because im Latino, 

Why does it matter?

How are you going to change it?

How does my skin color affect you?

It doesn’t, because IM hispanic.
