Loner

I am watching yet another mate get back to sane,
After all, being friends with me is synonymous with pain.

I can't distinguish between the truth,
and a poisonous monster's venomous tooth.

All are the same to me, like currents in the ocean,
just like I have trouble differentiating faces between men.

When the first one leaves and another arrives,
We share laughter and joy, our similarities to survive.
For a moment, I thought I'd found my other piece,
until I realized it has shattered our shared peace.
I have ceased the peace we shared like a paper's crease,
As we are apart, like the coldness in a summer's breeze.

I don't know what bonds are written in my fate;
the more I encounter it, the more I debate.
After all, a loner is destined to be alone,
to endure the coldness through the skin and bone.

Years passed, and I'm finally together—
or, is it just a moment to gather?
My feelings are always wrong,
but why do they prove to be so strong?
I was, am, and always will be the loner,
Not finding a true mate any time sooner.
When someone true enlightens my way,
and with a tiny flaw, tears away.
Leaving me, as they say,
Always the loner with a long day...

This poem explores about the complexity of friendships I often face in my personal life but added a little color to it in the name of loner.
