Island

Marooned upon and island
cast away on lonely shore
free from all distractions
my pen inhibited no more
Upon my tiny island
the fruits of knowledge grow
and impart to me the mysteries
of life’s great ebb and flow
I hear the songbirds
singing in the trees
and watch with avid interest
the busy little bees
Among the long wild grasses
dancing lively in a gale
little rabbits scurry
with twitching cotton tails
Alone upon my island
watching waves all blue and bold
I listen to Mother Nature
and write down all I’m told

wow. i love your description, i can picture everything you just explained :) i also love how you wrote about everything in nature!
