I used to dance in the early morn’ of life
With a bright soul I jumped into a bog of whirling lies
Above me they smiled, so complacent in their place
But since I was young, I couldn’t unmask their face
And time ticked on by as the audiences came
They saw in front of them, a child much in pain
So it finally hit upon me – that cruel revealing smite
And I ran into the distance on a dark grueling night
I knew they wouldn’t worry, for they never took to heart
The twisting pains that crashed inside my subjugated heart
But then again, I needed them to pave the way for me
So return I did, but now I came with mind and soul renewed
And in the end I wait to see who comes and goes to see
The nascent soul that woke amidst the great turmoil within me

I really feel your pain and renewed hope. Your writing is extremely palpable.
