Remembrances
Forced upon the occasion
To rethink it all
Why don’t you just leave me?
To my hell , after all?
Every memory , deep within me..
Rotten , slashed and torn
Rise up upon the shore..
Like a story retold
The pain , the guilt ,
The clouds continued to rain
The more I tell it to stop
The more I felt vain
An enemy… in me ,
Something that holds on to me tight
My conscience was key to
This remembrance and insight
Please leave me alone ,
I say it again ,
But it doesn’t leave me ,
To be the person , who I am
The thoughts , the memories ,
Locked up inside me ,
The bottled map
The remembrances inside me…
