Every day it’s something different
Every day’s the same
Every day there’s no tomorrow
Every day’s a game

Safe and reckless mesh together
Blurring in my mind
I try to find the strength deep down
I cave in every time

The monster bares its ugly claws
And rips my will to shreds
Leaves me naked to the world
My soul is lying, dead

Every day’s like yesterday, and
Each day’s something new
Crawling forward through the tunnel
Till I make it through

This poem's really about what you want it to be about, but I pictured it to be about someone who leads a destructive life, perhaps someone who takes drugs or is an alcoholic, and wants to get out of the bad situation they're in, but just can't find the inner strength.

Beautiful poem.  Very expressive, flows smoothly, and interesting.  Great job!

Thanks so much! I definitely will read your article, and I'll also think about revising mine - I wrote it a long time ago, so it's bound to need some editing! Thanks! :)

Beautiful poem, even though it has a dark feel to it. I amazed, and I love when you say..."and rips my will to shreds". You are a wonderful writer! This poems really IS powerful. However, it almost seems as if it ended too suddenly, but it's defintely a nice piece. Hope you get the chance to check out my opinion essay on animal rights/vegetarianism...and leave a comment because it will be greatly appreciated. Keep up the great work!!

Wow, what a powerful poem! It flows very well. All in all, good writing!
