Farewell, Innocence
So tired of the twisted lies
Told from the lips.
So tired of fairytales
Where a heart is stolen from one kiss.
So mad at the world
With its prejudice and sins.
So mad at people
Who can’t hold their hate in.
So heartbroken by the tears
That falls from faces.
So heartbroken by the pain
That shatters all promises.
Trying to make them understand
What I’m going through.
Trying to keep my innocence,
But innocence is lost in truth.
