The shadow of the trees
Cast by a gloomy day's shadow
The old wooden book shelves that line the walls endlessly
I'm from my best friends and my family
Who are always there when I call for help.
I'm from the bottom of the rocks in the river
And the sounds of the crickets in the corn field.
I'm from the flowers that bloom in the spring
And the old weeping willow branches that sway softly in the breeze
And the shooting starts in the luxuriously bright light night sky
I'm from my parents, siblings, grandma, grandpa, and the ones who came before me.
I'm from love and comfort,
Discipline and understanding
I know what I'm made up of,
And where every piece of me fits in.
