True Feelings
True Feelings
I listen to the steady rhythm of my heart,
And when I think of you, I’m missing a beat.
I’m running through my life, but I can’t stay on my feet.
I try to concentrate on what I have to do,
But I can’t because I’m always thinking of you.
You are my all, my only, my steady.
I take a deep breath and now I know that I’m ready.
Something to tell you, I love you, I love you, I love you.
I love you with all my heart,
I don’t know why or what made this love start,
But it’s a blessing that you are here,
And losing you is my only fear,
Because to lose you is to lose my life.
Now you see why this is such a strife.
You are me, you die so do I.
I want to let it go, my love, let it fly.
Here it goes, my heart is about to burst.
I’m longing for you, only you can quench my thirst.
I need you like a heart, like a lung, like a brain.
A day without you is like a lifetime with just rain.
No sunshine, no happiness, no hope, no joy.
Now you’re just treating me like a childhood toy.
You love me, until you find one to replace me,
I wish you would just turn around and face me.
You’ll put me down, and play with me…never,
But I’m not like that, I’ll love you forever.
I’ll love till “I do”, to death do we part
I’ll even love you when bad things start.
There’s that saying you don’t know what you got till it’s gone.
I know what I have, and it’s not just flirting on the phone.
It’s turned my heart to flesh, from stone.
Before you came, my life was a broken bone.
With your kindness, your care, your love,
My bones are healed; I’m flying like a dove.
There’s something I need to tell you, I really really do.
I need to tell you I love you, I love you, I love you.
