Wombat
When I look at the stars,
They reveal my scars.
Wounds that never healed--
Sadness courses through my veins,
An unwelcome trip down memory lane.
It infinitely pierces my ragged heart.
When I look at the sky,
My numb body is no longer shy to let go and cry.
Suicide notes are love letters.
When I see a flower,
It reveals my willpower.
Break these proverbial chains.
When I look at myself,
I reveal my change
From the slums of sadness, I arose like a phoenix,
And here I stand.
