I meant to tell you...
I meant to tell you before I forgot:
I appreciate all the joy you brought.
Your eyes seem to gleam with love,
Silly it seems, but you remind me of a dove.
Flying so independent and free,
I wish I could view the things you see.
I know you make mistakes,
But at least you aren’t acting like one of those fakes.
Your are not perfect, neither am I,
We all laugh, sing, cheer, and cry.
I mean to tell you before I forgot:
I have so much more to say, but I love you a lot.
