Perfection
Perfection doesn’t exist
And yet you try to resist
Your killing your inner health
To perfect your outer self
Your not happy with your reflection
So you stop eating for their affection
Your life has no control
But your secret takes its toll
You’ve become obsessed with your intention
Although no one seems to mention
This lifestyle you’ve acquired
Has made you become inspired
About Your skeletal skinny structure
And it makes them think look at her
You have reached your lifeless goal
And your future starts to unroll
You lay unconscious in this bed
With all your thoughts still in your head
Your guardian angel has come to speak with you
To tell you that this wont ever do
She explains your fate without a smile
And you know that it will be a while
She tells you that you will be ok
But you wont be waking up today
And at once you know you’re done
But you know that you would have never won
You say it wasn’t dyslexia
You say your secret was anorexia
