Substance
Substance
You do so by night
Thine eyes are closed
You have no control
Every minute, second
Of hour by light
I dream
Improbable futures
Unassailable goals
Become tangible
Oh they are grand
But try my utmost I will
To conquer
I have not the means
Nor the lifespan
To capture my all
But as the man from Atlanta
Or Mvezo
Never should we quit
Without them
What are we?
Where lies our purpose?
Aspirations and beliefs;
The substance
Of human existence
Its not superstition or faith
Its a dream
And I am a dreamer
