I am the Moon

May 24, 2008

I am the moon.
A barren, rocky surface covers my four faces.
The twisted countenance of a man sits upon my landscape.
Sometimes, I become dizzy as I spin in many directions.

I am the moon.
The earth is my father, and I chase him in circles.
This is our game,
But he does not always want to play.

I am the moon,
A stranger.
It is tough to be so alone,
With only darkness to talk to.

I am the moon.
I witnessed the world begin.
On earth, priestesses
Dance to me.

I am the moon.
