This Soul
These eyes have cried many tears,
This heart has fluttered fear.
This nose has smelled a rat,
These delicate fingers have caressed that.
These timid lips have nervously combined,
These feet have walked the line
These hands are holding entwined
This stomach’s butterflies are fluttering wild,
These arms are still of a child.
This brain knows what to feel,
Nervous, love, anger – repealed.
This soul soars to be
The epitome of free
