We Remember
No light is shed on these walls
Your breath freezes upon the glass
The blood is chilled in your veins
It's silent except for the ghosts in the wind
No need to know history, you can feel it in your bones
Flashes of truth suffocates like poisonous gas
You long to leave, but there is no escape
There never was
****
A prison of hypocrisy
Work shall set you free?
When only death can break the chains
Your hatred is the ONLY thing that makes you human
But you will not get any understanding from me
You tried to burn out your hate
In hopes of silencing the voice of equality
But even now the whispers continue on
You will not be given the mercy of silence
And yet, even in death you have no remorse
