Mourning
Mourning
Fingers twisted through my hair
I miss your laughter warm and silken
The world grows dark without you there
My once bright soul grows hard and waxen
They say he's in a better place
So why do I feel my heart breaking
I long to see his smiling face
But all I feel is endless aching
People try to heal the pain
With tales of golden streets and wings of ivory
But with their stories it's the same
Fables of grandeur and fancies tawdry
They do not know where my friend has gone
For they have never passed through the mist
Though it means nothing life goes on
As I wish for the cold of death's last kiss

So since I've written kind of bummer comments on your last two articles, this may come as I shock to you... I LOVED THIS ONE!!!! Wow. Wow. Wow. Actually that's is exactly what I said after I read the last line.
The rhyming was effortless and genius. The flow was PERFECT... SPOT ON... FANTASTIC. Such raw emotions and you display them so well. 5 stars from me. This is great.
