Last Goodbye
Lightning strikes a lonely tree
She cracks, she burns, she falls
Lightning must be very mad
To be destroying all
For tree did nothing wrong
Just swaying in the breeze
Lightning hates it anyway
And struck it down with ease
Maybe lightning got a thrill
Playing this sadistic game
Or maybe he’s just bored
And practicing his aim
Tree doesn’t care for reasons
As she withers, wilts, and dies
Just knowing this is the end
This is her last goodbye
