An Escape
There’s a place that I find
At the back of my mind
Let me take you there
A place you can’t see
Unless you become me
Let me take you there
I’ll grab you by the hand
And show you the land
A place full of shadow
Of loss and despair
A realm needing light
And hope to fill the air
There’s a place that I’m in
A game of seek you won’t win
Let me show you where
I’ll play seek all night
Maybe if you try you might
Happen to find me there
In my garden of glass
Make too much noise and I’ll crash
A million pieces of crystal so clear
Now on the ground like a broken antique chandelier
All my hopes and my dreams
Now ripped at the seams
I shouldn’t have taken you here
