Take Them Out of My Mouth
Drowning, engulfing,
Dividing, uniting all,
They drip from mouths full.
Landing like sweetgrass,
Like cinnamon, like sweat,
Like pride; everything.
Fill me up with them.
Direct me into your heart
Her mind or his soul.
Give me your colors,
And the five ancient workers-
Small powerful men.
They lisp in my ears.
Let me have them to use them,
Let me master them.
Encompassing all,
To make you well aware of
What I cannot say.
This is how it is:
You cannot ever hear me
You have to read me.
Pen onto paper.
I cannot say this out loud-
I love you. I loathe you.
