Lady In the Night
Something to hide
Maybe a secret or past
The mysterious woman emerges
The charcoal dress blends in with the dark hallway
Hidden behind shades of ebony
The young man is drawn to her Nubian beauty
The bleak dress acts as a barrier against all
He chases her into the night
Into the eclipsed darkened sky
He follows her footprints through the black forest
the canopy of trees acts as a shield to all light
She whips around to flash a smile of victory
Her burning coal colored eyes stop him dead in his tracks
and the lady in the night is gone forever
