Your Everything - Or Your Nothing
Not gonna be just another number on your list -
One of the many pretty girls you've kissed.
I thought I meant more than this to you,
And they didn't get the same treatment, too.
If we're all the same, then, sorry - I'm out.
You obviously don't know what real love's about.
Or perhaps you do, and it's no longer directed at me...
Actually, that would be pretty easy to believe.
I won't give you the chance to break my heart slow;
If I'm not your only, then I'll just go.
It kills me to leave, but it has to be,
Because I'm not another doll in your gallery.
I was up on a pedestal, and now it's shattered.
The trust I had in you hangs in tatters.
There was a time you told me "we're forever" -
Now I guess you've made it never.
So go be with the girl you love; it's fine.
I've lost all hope of making you mine.
If I can't be your everything, if you can't be true,
Then I'm your nothing, and I'm done with you.
