The Death of My Light
You are my warm and sunny light,
The only one that reaches my eyes,
Death has taken my lovely light.
But now you are gone and nothing is as bright,
All that is left of me is haunting cries,
You are my warm and sunny light.
Oh where has it gone, my guiding light,
It’s disappeared, nothing left for my blind eyes,
Death has taken my lovely light.
Burns, burns just ravaged skin is the only sight,
You lay there unconscious and weary behind closed eyes,
You are my warm and sunny light.
In the end there will only be a loss to the fight,
Your long battle is over, severing all Earthly ties,
Death has taken my lovely light.
Since the very beginning you were my light,
Always full of warm hugs, love and so wise,
You are my warm and sunny light,
Death has taken my lovely light.
