Almost Dreaming
Darkness falls
and you appear.
You don't exist,
and yet you're here.
Light bends around
your form and face,
afraid to touch
this lonely place.
There's nothing left
of what you were.
No miracles
there could occur
to bring you back
to something sane,
but you're still the blood
inside my veins.
I hope that you
sleep well tonight,
and one day soon
you'll find the light.
You cannot hear
my silent screaming,
but you're so close,
so I'm almost dreaming.
