Starts with a word, ends with a word
Colorful, rich, complete.
People roam in it, through it, around it
For the length of time it is seen.
It rises and falls with action
And conflicts plague the mind.
Until it is stored idly away
For another soul to find.

The author's comments:
I wrote this piece as a riddle poem but ended up deciding to add the title while submitting. I chose to write about a novel because who doesn't like one? Aside from the dog, their a man's best friend.

Novels are man's (and woman's :D) best freind. And this poem is wonderful. I wouldn't change a thing. I think you have a major talent for poetry.
