Everything I Needed to Know I Learned in High School
Admit it; you think my intelligence is
Bothersome, but, I’m not going to
Create a front of stupidity.
Declare your weaknesses;
Evidently you fear me.
Forget it, you don’t intimidate me with your
Groaning after every time I speak,
Hateful comments about my skin color not being “pure” like yours—
Ignorance is learned;
Jealousy, in her most vile form.
Keep leaking your arsenic,
Letting it poison anyone within six feet of you.
My confidence can’t be destroyed, and
Neither can my words.
On the other hand, your
Pompous doubts about my
Qualifications to be confident are
Running out of drive.
Seriously, continue
Tantalizing me with your snarky
Useless words rapid fire from your tongue.
Value is a word you haven’t learned, but I’m sure
Your parents are proud.
