"Ah, Winter"
Aine opened her eyes,
Flinching as it burned,
As bright as the sky,
Inhaling Aine could smell,
A distant fragrance,
As soft as roses,
Aine rose from where she slept,
And placed her dainty foot on the floor,
And quickly drew back,
for it felt like an icy grip on her bare foot,
She strained her ears,
But,
All she heard was the wind,
Howling like a heartbroken wolf,
And stepped outside,
"Ah." she thought as the cold air slapped her across the face,
"Winter has arrived,"
And she went inside singing a love melody to herself.
